E-Rate: Federal Funding to Enhance Education
The E-Rate program provides discounts and funding from the Universal Service Fund (USF) to eligible schools and libraries that wish to enhance their telecommunications and technology services. Since its inception in 1999, E-Rate has significantly accelerated the rate of K-12 classroom modernization, including the adoption of broadband Internet and Wifi in classrooms to supply enhanced educational materials.
